It was 137 AD, 890 years after the emergence of the Roman Empire. For hundreds of years, Romans had been dominating an expanse of land stretching all the way from north of Turkey to the south of Syria called the Eastern Rome. The society was on its way toward moral decadence despite all the material progresses made. Romans who worshipped the Olympian deities were pressurizing the monotheists. In Philadelphia, a state of the Eastern Rome, which is now Oman the capital of Jordan,

the tyrannical and atheist ruler Diokletyanus or as called by people then Decius spared monotheists no cruelty and torture. One day he summons the dignitaries in the town and says the Roman emperor Haderyanus is to have a brief stop in Philadelphia on his way to Jerusalem. Dacius intends to feed the Christians to ferocious animals before the emperor. Maximillianus, his high counselor and son-in-law along with a number of town`s personalities who advocate Christians

secretly inform them of his plot. Realizing this, Dacius gets infuriated. Maximillianus and his companions Telmikha, Antonius, Yovanis, Martinus, soudivanus and dinasius and their dog Kemetriu take shelter in a cave. They sleep for a period of 300 years as a heavenly miracle. When they wake up, unaware of the lapse of a long time, Kemetriu accidentally sets the stage for Maximilian’s entry to the city. Hesitant and dubious he gradually realizes the unbelievable fact.

He meets Arius, the 15th generation of his children who is now an aged man. With the spread of the mysterious news, the inhabitants in the area who are now monotheists and followers of Jesus Christ head for the cave to meet the holy men. The then ruler Theodoz and Church officials plan to set up a large church in the cave so that business may flourish in the town but the men of the cave who witness deviation of Christ`s followers and spread of materialism in the society find out that

they can not survive in such conditions so they ask God to move them from the material world to the eternal world. In a blink of an eye, Arius finds them dead while masses of people are preparing to welcome the living signs of God`s miracle. Despite Heraclius`s objection, the army commander,Theodoz orders them to erect for the men of the cave a tomb in the same place.Ashabe Kahaf.
